The Rent Payments by Building and Rent Collected by Building reports allow you to quickly view detailed monthly financial data related to rent charges and payments across your buildings. These reports can help property managers and accounting teams effectively monitor and manage rental income.

Accessing the Reports

These reports are located on the Reports page under the Tenant category.

Report Parameters

Both reports share the following parameters:

  • End Date: Select the month that will serve as the final month of your report. The report automatically includes data for the selected month and the preceding five months.

  • Building: Defaults to All Buildings. You can select a specific building to narrow down your report.

  • Company: Defaults to All Companies. You can select a specific company if needed.

  • Rent Item: This is a multi-select parameter. No items are selected by default, but you can choose multiple items to include specific rent categories.

  • Show Inactive Units: Defaults to Yes. Change to No if you prefer to exclude inactive units.

Report Format

Each report groups data by building. Within each building section, you'll see a table that includes:

  • Unit No.: Identifies the individual unit.

  • Monthly Data: Columns for each of the past six months from the selected End Date. Each month column is further split into two:

    • Charged: Total rent charges for the month.

    • Payments (Rent Payments by Building) or Collected (Rent Collected by Building):

      • Payments: Includes payments recorded within each month, irrespective of invoice dates.

      • Collected: Only includes payments applied specifically to invoices from that month.

At the bottom of each building's table, a Total row summarizes monthly charges and payments or collections. The final section of the report displays a Grand Total summarizing overall totals across all buildings.

Usage Recommendations

  • Use Rent Payments by Building to track cash flow and actual payment timing.

  • Use Rent Collected by Building to analyze payment performance specifically tied to monthly invoicing.

These reports help streamline your financial oversight, enabling timely and informed decision-making.
