Understanding the 'Restrict Online Payments to Include All Charges' Feature in Property Matrix

Require tenants to pay every charge on an invoice in the same online payment.

Enable the Setting

  1. Go to Tenants and select the tenant.

  2. Open the Details tab.

  3. Click Lease Information.

  4. Enable Restrict Online Payments to Include All Charges.

How It Works

When enabled, tenants cannot choose only some charges from an invoice. They must pay all invoice charges together.

For example, if an invoice includes rent and a CAM charge, the tenant must pay both charges in the same transaction. Without this setting, they could pay rent while leaving the CAM charge unpaid.

  • Encourages timely payment of all outstanding charges.

  • Reduces follow-up work for partial payments.

  • Creates clearer, more consistent payment records for tenants and property managers.
