Switching Between TransUnion Shareable and Resident Screening

Written by Conor Taliancich

Property Matrix supports two TransUnion screening setups:

  • TransUnion ShareAble: Set up individually for each property and available as soon as you have a Property Matrix account.

  • TransUnion Resident Screening: Requires you to contact TransUnion and create an account through Property Matrix. This option provides discounted pricing.

ShareAble and Resident Screening can be used at the same time. They are referred to as credit check providers.

View Provider Settings

  1. Go to Settings and open the TransUnion page.

  2. Click the dropdown in the top-right corner.

  3. Select View ShareAble Settings to manage ShareAble.

  4. Select View Resident Screening Settings to manage TransUnion Resident Screening.

Choose a Provider for an Application

Set the credit check provider on each custom tenant application in Settings. Multiple applications on the same license can use different providers, provided each provider has been set up first.

Providers that are not configured cannot be selected.

The marketing page automatically shows the correct TransUnion report options based on the provider the lead originally applied with, even if the tenant application's current provider changes.

Each lead can be linked to only one credit check provider. To obtain reports through another provider, the applicant must complete a new application as a separate lead. Request Further Actions cannot change a lead's provider.
