Follow these steps to add a new building and its units:

  1. Go to the Properties page.

  2. Click the New button in the options menu.

  3. On the first page of the popup window:

    • Confirm or enter the number of units. (Enter "1" for single-family homes.)

    • Complete any additional required fields.

  4. Click Next to move to the second page, where you'll set various details, including:

    • Owner Company, the company that owns the property and which will include the property in their owner draws and management fees calculations.

    • Operating Account, the default bank account that transactions under this property are processed under. See the implications of setting an operating account different to the owner company's in our Setting a Building’s Operating Account Without Changing the Company Account article.

    • Lease, Management, and Maintenance profiles, which set default data like document templates and fee structures. (Add or update these profiles in Settings → Profiles.)

  5. Click Next again to edit unit-specific details on the third page:

    • To quickly edit identical unit details (bedrooms, bathrooms, area, rent), select Select All.

    • Or, select units individually to edit unique details.

  6. To assign Amenities to units:

    • Check the box next to the amenities you want.

    • After selecting amenities, click Apply Changes.

    • Add or update available amenities in Settings → Amenities.

  7. Click Next to reach the fourth page (Property Amenities). Complete any remaining details or selections as needed.

  8. When finished, click Save to create your building and units.
