To add new property types, go to Settings on the top right, choose General Settings from the list on the left, and then click the orange plus button to add new property types.

You can also edit the current default property types or any that you have already created by click on the pen and paper icon on the right side across from the property type.

When adding/editing property types, this box will pop up:

First you can choose a Name for the new property type.

The Property Type Category has a drop-down with the various property types that are used by our posting sites. This is how they will be display when they are advertised on the public rental sites.

Has Multiple Units will affect how it appears on the Properties page. For buildings with only one unit, such as a House, it will hide the unit column on the left side on the page as so:

For buildings with multiple units, such as Apartments, it will display a unit column on the left side of the page so you can easily switch and choose between units:

Unit Display Term is the name of the Units. For example, you can edit the Mobile Homes to have the unit name of Lot. Another example if you have a garage that you rent out separately you can name it Garage. This appears on the Unit tab instead of the word Unit. Here it is just set to Unit.

Hide Bed & Bath is used for property types that do not have beds and baths, such as Land or Commercial. Set this to True and then the Bed/Bath will not display in the system or on the marketing page.

Separate Unit Address is used for property types that have different address for individual units. And example would be a large apartment complex that may have one address for the complex or a range of addresses for the complex such as 5400-5750 Main Street. By checking Separate Unit Address, this would allow you to specify the unit address if they differ from each other or the building. For this example, you could then have units that have the address 5400 Main Street Unit #23, 5500 Main Street Unit #37, 5750 Main Street Unit #1, etc. If all the units have the same address, leave this box unchecked.
