Requesting Holding Deposits and Fees from Leads Before Move-In

Learn how to request payments or holding deposits from leads before their move-in.

Step 1: Set the Email Template

  1. Click your profile or workspace menu.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click General Settings.

  4. Go to Advanced Settings.

  5. Click the edit icon.

  6. Under Request further transaction actions email template, select the desired email template.

  7. Click Save.

By default, this is set to Default Invoice Payment Request Email.

Step 2: Send a Payment Request to a Lead

  1. Click Tenants in the left navigation menu.

  2. Use the Tenant Type dropdown and select Leads.

  3. Select the lead you want to send a payment request to.

  4. Click New Invoice.

  5. Fill out and save the invoice form.

  6. Click the dropdown arrow or menu on the invoice.

  7. Select Request Further Action.

  8. Confirm and send the payment request email.

What the Lead Receives

The lead receives an email with a secure link. The link opens a simplified payment page, similar to the rental application page, but showing only the payment section.
