You can create a form in the text editor or upload an existing PDF and place fields on it. Use the editor for documents you want to write or paste in; use a PDF when you already have a designed form, such as a lease agreement.
Open the Forms Page
Go to Settings > Communication Templates.
Select the Forms tab.
This page lists your existing forms, including the default Overdue Payment Notice. You can edit, duplicate, or delete forms from the list.
Create a Form in the Text Editor
Click Create a Form.
Type your document or paste content from another source. To paste a Word document, copy its contents and paste them into the form editor.
To add information such as a tenant name or date, click Insert Datafield. Choose the appropriate tab, select a field from the dropdown, and click OK.
To add an e-signature field, open Insert Datafield, select the Signature tab, and choose the signature you need, such as Tenant Signature or PM Signature.
Name the form and click Save.
Data fields appear inline with your text. If you need the same data field more than once, insert it each time using Insert Datafield; copying and pasting an inserted field will not work.
Upload a PDF Form
From the Forms tab, click Upload PDF and select a PDF from your computer.
In the Fields sidebar, find the field you need. Fields are grouped by resource, such as Property Manager, Tenant, and Write On PDF.
Select a field, then click and drag on the PDF to draw the box where it should appear.
Reposition or resize the box as needed. You can also adjust its font properties.
Name the form and click Save when all fields are in place.
Signature fields are listed within their respective resource groups. For example, look under Property Manager for the property manager's signature.
To add information you'll enter each time you prepare the PDF for sending, select dynamic.write_on_pdf under Write On PDF. Place it on the PDF and give the field a descriptive name, such as Reason for Entry.
