The Upcoming Lease Expirations widget on your dashboard provides a focused view of leases nearing their expiration, facilitating proactive property management and tenant communication.

How It Works

Current Date Relevance: Unlike other widgets that adjust according to the selected timeframe, this widget operates solely based on the current date to track leases expiring within the next month.

Lease Expiration Criteria: The widget identifies leases that are expiring based on two criteria:

  • A move-out date within the next month.

  • An end date within the next month for leases that are not month-to-month.

Data Displayed: For each expiring lease, the widget displays the unit name, the primary tenant’s name, the rent amount, the move-out date, and the user’s avatar, providing a quick and comprehensive overview of the lease details.

Active and Inactive Properties: It includes data from both active and inactive buildings or units within active companies, ensuring a complete picture of potential vacancies and tenant transitions.

Why It Matters

This widget is essential for managing lease transitions smoothly. By alerting property managers to upcoming expirations, it allows for timely engagement with tenants about renewals or move-out procedures. This helps in maintaining occupancy rates and minimizing potential income gaps due to unanticipated vacancies.
