Occasionally, you might notice that your merchant account is flagged with a "hold." Our payment processing partner, ProPay, places these holds when unusual or potentially suspicious activity is detected. These holds help ensure transactions remain secure and protect your account from fraudulent activities.

How Holds Affect You:

When your account is on hold, transactions may continue processing normally within our app, but the funds might temporarily not be deposited into your linked personal bank account. This hold remains until the activity on your account has been reviewed and cleared.

Types of Holds You Might See

When a hold is placed on your account, you may see a small flag with a description. Here’s what each of them means:

  • ACH Deposits Disabled – Deposits to your bank account are currently paused.

  • Manual ACH Deposit Hold – ProPay manually paused your deposits, usually for a security review.

  • ACH Deposits Disabled through API – Deposits have been paused automatically through our connection with ProPay.

  • ACH Deposit Reject Hold – A recent deposit to your bank account failed (for example, due to incorrect account info or a bank rejection).

  • ACH Deposit Bank Validation Hold – Deposits are paused while your bank account details are being verified.

  • Credit Card Soft Limit Hold – You’ve reached a temporary limit on credit card transactions. Funds may be held until the limit resets or is reviewed.

  • ACH Soft Limit Hold – You’ve reached a temporary limit on ACH (bank transfer) transactions. Funds may be held until the limit resets or is reviewed.

  • ACH Withdrawals Disabled – Withdrawals from your bank account into your ProPay account are currently paused.

  • Manual ACH Withdrawal Hold – ProPay manually paused withdrawals, usually for a security review.

  • ACH Withdrawals Disabled through API – Withdrawals have been paused automatically through our connection with ProPay.

  • ACH Withdrawal Reject Hold – A recent withdrawal from your bank account failed (for example, due to insufficient funds or a bank rejection).

  • ACH Withdrawal Bank Validation Hold – Withdrawals are paused while your bank account details are being verified.

These descriptions are shown to help you understand why funds may be delayed. If you ever see one of these holds and aren’t sure why, just reach out to our support team—we’ll explain what’s happening and help get it resolved quickly.
