When a tenant’s payment attempt is declined immediately, such as a credit card decline, Property Matrix automatically creates a Failed Transaction - Payment record.
View a Failed Transaction Payment
Click Tenants in the left navigation menu.
Select the tenant whose failed payment you want to review.
Open the Transactions tab.
Locate the Failed Transaction - Payment entry.
Click the failed transaction row to view the details.
Failed Transaction Payment Details
Failed transaction records may include:
The payment method used
The amount of the attempted transaction
The reason for failure, if one was provided
The failure reason is usually shown in the transaction description. This information can help you track declined payment attempts and follow up with the tenant if needed.
