How to Enter Marketing Information for Single-Family Homes

Learn how to update marketing details for single-family homes in Property Matrix to list your units effectively.

Step 1: Locate the Property

  1. Click Properties in the left navigation menu.

  2. Find your property using the Search bar at the top left, or filter properties using Segments.

Step 2: Select the Unit

Since single-family properties typically have one unit, select the unit directly from the property/unit list.

For quicker navigation, enter the name of the home into the search bar at the top left and select the result labeled Unit.

Step 3: Update Unit and Property Details

From the unit page, update fields in the Details section, such as:

  • Area

  • Default Rent

  • Property Type

  • Bedrooms/Bathrooms

You can also update:

  • Marketing: Enter a compelling description about the property.

  • Amenities: Highlight special features or amenities.

  • Images: Click the three-dot menu below the large placeholder image, then select Edit Gallery to upload pictures.

Step 4: Post the Unit for Marketing

  1. Click the Marketing tab.

  2. Click New Posting.

  3. Toggle Building Website, plus any additional public sites you want to use.

  4. Click Save to publish.

Once activated, marketing and availability details will appear on the property page.

Where the Listing Appears

Your unit is now visible on:

  • Your company’s public website, found under Settings > Company Information

  • The individual property website, accessible from the Public Property Website link on the Property tab

For example, if the property’s alias is 137mainstreet, the property website would be:

On the property website, the unit will appear under Featured Listings. Visitors can view the marketing details and apply directly through the Apply Online button.
