The fujitsu scan snap feature can work remotely from any location and scan directly into Property Matrix.

If you set up the scan snap in your home or office, and then want to use it from a new location, you need to first add that wifi network to be able to connect and scan documents.

By default it will try to connect to the previously set up wifi network. To connect to a new wifi network, you will need to plug in the scanner to your computer which would be connected to this new wifi network.

Then you can download scan snap on this computer if you have not already.

Once you open scan snap on your computer, you can follow these steps in this article (https://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/imaging/downloads/manual/ss_webhelp/en/help/webhelp/topic/wf_change_set_ip.html) to Connect Via an IP Address (Step 2 on this article)

  1. Display the Main Window of ScanSnap Home.

  2. Select [Settings] in the menu β†’ [Preferences] to display the preferences window.

  3. Select a ScanSnap unit to establish a connection from the list of ScanSnap units under [Scanner information] in the [Scanner] tab and click the [Connect via an IP address] button to display the [Connect via an IP address] window.

  4. Specify an IP address and click the [OK] button.

  5. When a message appears informing you that the connection is complete, click the [OK] button.
