Adding, Editing and Deleting Future Invoices

The Future tab on a tenant’s profile lets you view, add, edit, and manage upcoming tenant charges. Scheduled charges often include monthly rent based on the tenant’s lease terms, but you can also create additional future invoices when needed.

Access Future Invoices

  1. Click Tenants in the left navigation menu.

  2. Select the tenant you want to update.

  3. Click the Future tab to view upcoming invoices and lease-related schedules.

Edit a Future Invoice Schedule

  1. From the Future tab, find the schedule you want to update.

  2. Click the pencil icon on the right.

  3. Update the transaction schedule details.

  4. Click Save.

You can update details such as:

  • Recurring charge duration and end date

  • Posting dates

  • Invoice schedule

  • Notification timing

Edit a Specific Invoice Amount

  1. Select the invoice or charge you want to adjust.

  2. Click the edit option for that transaction.

  3. Update the amount or add additional invoice lines.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Choose whether the change should apply to:

    • This invoice only

    • All invoices after the selected date

    • All future invoices

  6. Click Save to confirm.

Create a Future Invoice

  1. From the tenant’s Future tab, click New Schedule.

  2. Complete the transaction schedule form.

  3. Click Save.

The new future invoice will appear alongside the tenant’s existing scheduled charges.

Make a Future Invoice Current

Use Push To Today when you need to make a scheduled future invoice available immediately.

  1. Find the future invoice you want to move to the current balance.

  2. Click Push To Today on that transaction.

  3. Confirm the change.

The invoice will move to the Current tab and will be ready for payment processing through Property Matrix or the tenant portal.

Delete a Future Invoice

If a scheduled invoice is no longer needed, open the invoice or schedule options from the Future tab, choose the delete option, and confirm the deletion.
