In Property Matrix, management fees can be generated either manually through the Calculate Fees page or automatically through a scheduled management fee profile. Understanding the difference between these two methods helps ensure accurate fee generation and prevents duplicates.
Manual Fee Calculation (Calculate Fees Page)
The Calculate Fees page allows you to generate management fees for specific invoice payments that you select.
Payments can be filtered by company, building, or date.
The date filter can be set to use either the invoice creation date, the invoice payment creation date, or the deposit creation date.
This method is ideal for one-time or targeted fee generation.
Automatic Fee Calculation (Scheduled Charges)
Automatic management fees are configured in the Settings page within each management profile. See our Adding, Editing and Deleting Management Profiles article for more details.
Each profile can have a management fee charge schedule.
On scheduled dates, the system generates fees for all invoice payments created since the last management fee was generated for that building.
This process ensures no duplicate fees are created and always uses the most up-to-date payment information.
