Billing Details and Issues

A breakdown of your charges for Property Matrix, and how to resolve issues with them.

Seeing Your Charges

  1. Click your profile icon.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Billing Details.

  4. Click the Subscription tab.

  5. Scroll down to view additional charges, if any.

  6. Use the month dropdown to view billing history for previous months.

If there are any ProPay ACH Portal Fee Charges for the selected month, they will appear in a separate section.

Types of Charges

In addition to your base subscription payment, these additional charges may appear on your account:

  • TransUnion Charges

  • ProPay ACH Return Charges

  • ProPay Chargeback Charges

  • ProPay ACH Portal Fee Charges

TransUnion Charges

TransUnion Charges are costs associated with running reports, depending on your account and plan. This section shows each report that was run, which lead it was run for, and the cost of the report.

You can set application fees to offset these costs under Settings > Tenant Applications.

ProPay Chargeback Charges

Chargeback charges occur when a tenant makes a payment and later disputes it, such as telling their bank the payment was fraudulent or unauthorized.

Property Matrix can assist with managing these disputes and can submit the dispute on your behalf. Reach out to us if you would like to pursue that option.

ProPay ACH Return Charges

ProPay ACH Return Charges occur when an ACH payment bounces due to reasons such as insufficient funds or account errors.

There is a $5 fee for each ACH return.

ProPay ACH Portal Fee Charges

ProPay ACH Portal Fee Charges apply when your account is configured to charge the ACH portal fee to the property management company instead of the tenant.

By default, tenants are responsible for this fee. This charge only occurs if the setting has been manually switched. When charged to the property management company, the fee is $1 per ACH payment, and the section displays the total amount broken down by building.
