Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Accessing Management Fees
Navigate to the Settings menu.
Select Fee Structures.
Step 2: Adding a New Management Fee Structure
Click the New Fee Structure button in the upper-right corner to create a new fee structure.
Enter a descriptive Fee structure name for your fee structure.
From the Fee Category dropdown menu, choose Management Fee.
Note: If you need to create Late Fees, refer to the article "Adding and Editing Late Fees".
Step 3: Adding Fees to the Structure
Each fee structure can include multiple fee items. For example, you might charge a 7% fee on rent payments and a flat $20 fee for late payments. Each of these would be a separate fee within the same structure.
To add fees to your structure, click the 3-dot menu located to the right of the fee structure name, then Add Item.
To edit an existing fee, click the 3-dot menu on the right side of the fee item, then Edit.
Step 4: Configuring Fee Details
In the Edit Fee Structure Item screen, set the following:
Fee Method: Determines how the fee amount is calculated.
Flat Fee Amount/Percentage Fee Amount: Enter the fee value(s). If you do not wish to use one type of amount, leave the field blank.
Income and Expense Items: Select appropriate income and expense categories (default categories "Management Fee Income" and "Management Fee Expense" can be used if custom items aren't available).
Charge fee on: Use this dropdown to select whether the fee applies to all items, includes specific items, or excludes specific items.
Step 5: Selecting Transaction Items
If you're including or excluding specific items, you'll see a checklist of available transaction items. Select the items that apply.

Step 6: Saving Your Changes
After adding or editing your fees, click Submit.
Once all fees are configured, click Save at the bottom of the Fee Structure.
