This article is a part of Adding Leases and Moving in Tenants, but instead of creating a new tenant you will use a lead that was generated in the system by a prospective tenant filling out contact info or an application or an existing tenant. See the Viewing/Editing Leads article for more information on that.

When you are in the process of creating a new lease for a unit, the only difference for adding an existing lead or tenant is that you will need to select them from an existing list.
You can also move them in from the Marketing page, by clicking the three dot menu near the top right, and choosing New Lease. Choose what unit it is for.
If you start to type in their name a spinner will begin and then it will dropdown options that match the name. You can then select the lead. It should have their full name, email, and '(contact)' or '(tenant).' You can also select other existing tenants here as well.

If you click on their name, a message box will pop up asking you to confirm that you want to use the contact or tenant as a tenant. It will then fill in any of their existing information. You will not be able to edit their name, email, address or phone number on this screen. You will need to add them as a tenant and then update it in their Tenant Details section under Lease - Details - Tenant's information if you need to change anything.
You can select Clear next to the Clear existing tenant data text if you selected an incorrect tenant or contact.
Then you can create the lease as normal.
