In Property Matrix, you have quick and convenient access to comprehensive information about your vendors, all in one location. This article guides you through viewing and managing vendor details effectively.
Accessing Vendor Information
To see information about vendors:
Navigate to Accounting > Vendors.
All your vendors registered in Property Matrix are displayed in the sidebar on the left. Vendors can be filtered by their status:
Active (default view)
Inactive
All
Sort your vendors by clicking on the headers:
Click on Vendor Name to sort alphabetically (A → Z or Z → A).
Click on Balance to sort balances high-to-low or low-to-high.

Viewing Specific Vendor Details
Click on a vendor’s name to select and view detailed information in the main pane.
Clicking on the down-arrow next to the vendor’s name shows basic details such as contact information and tax ID.
Vendor Tabs and Information
The vendor detail page contains several important tabs:
1. Vendor Tab:
1.1 Current Subtab:
Shows current outstanding bills. Refer to our Creating a Bill for a Vendor article for more information.
Payment Information:
Bank account and routing numbers are hidden by default. To view:
Navigate to Settings > User Roles.
Edit your role (typically Admin) by clicking the 3-dot menu next to the role name and selecting Edit.
Check View Vendor Payment Info, then click Save.
Return to Accounting > Vendors > Current > Payment Type dropdown > Manage....
Click Edit next to the desired bank account.
And then you can see the existing bank account information. Note that you cannot edit the numbers after you first save the account.
1.2 Future Subtab:
Displays schedules for future bill postings. Functionality matches the Tenants page described in our Adding, Editing and Deleting Future Invoices article.
1.3 Details Subtab:
Comprehensive vendor profile information. See more in our Adding, Editing, and Deleting Vendors article.
1.4 Footer Options:
Get Vendor Online/Login as Vendor: Allows you to provide online portal access similar to tenants (see Giving Tenants Online Access).
Attachments: Upload and manage vendor-specific attachments here.
2. Transactions Tab:
Review transaction history and details. See Viewing and Editing Transactions.
3. Message Tab:
Send messages to vendors individually or in groups. Refer to Messaging Multiple Recipients.

Click the 3-dot menu next to the Segments dropdown to access:

Vendor Online Access and Maintenance
Vendors can interact with the Maintenance page similarly to tenants, as detailed in our Maintenance page video. You can control vendor permissions and visibility in their Property Matrix Online Access by editing their vendor role through Settings > User Roles, then assigning the role in the vendor's Details tab (consult Adding, Editing, and Deleting Vendors and Adding/Editing User Roles for further instructions).
